Dr. Alexandre Marois is an Assistant Professor at the School of Psychology of Université Laval in Québec, Canada. He is also a Visiting Fellow at the School of Psychology and Humanities of the University of Central Lancashire in Preston, United Kingdom, a regular member of the VITAM research centre, and an associate member of the IID and the Obvia. He pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in Applied Cognitive Psychology at Université Laval and completed his PhD in Experimental Psychology at Université Laval where he received the Best Doctoral Thesis award of the faculty.

From 2020 to 2023, he worked as an industrial researcher for Thales, playing an active role in the research, development and technological transfer of solutions aimed at supporting cognitively challenging operational domains. His academic research now concerns a large variety of subjects including the interaction between humans and AI-driven agents, the identification and support of cognitive fallacies in high-risk domains, and the characterization and support of cognitive complexity in real-life situations.
