About Us

Content Section

Six participants in hiking gear pose for the camera while making the numbers and letters C5LA with their hands. The scenery behind them is a desert terrain, filled with greenery despite the heat.

The Learning Network showcases real-world stories, along with innovative programs and projects that enhance health and wellbeing by connecting people to nature.

We are an open-source digital archive of case studies about programs and design projects that highlight innovative, inclusive, and effective nature-based solutions throughout the world. We aim to inspire and inform future work and research that contributes to a growing nature and health movement.

More than a database–we're a growing network of practitioners and advocates that includes:

  • Researchers and academics studying the benefits of nature and health
  • Educators and students exploring the potential of outdoor environments to promote human health
  • Designers and planners reimagining outdoor spaces to enhance wellbeing and social connection
  • Healthcare providers integrating nature-based interventions into clinical practice

Together, we are building a shared language, a deeper understanding, and a stronger commitment to advancing health and wellness through equitable and inclusive access to nature for all people.
